What we ask you for, and why

The short version. What you type into our booking form goes to Elysian Villa Retreat and to nobody else. We use it to hold your room, plan your arrival and have the house ready for you. We do not sell it, we do not share it, and we do not advertise to you. There is nothing on this website that follows you around the internet.
What we ask you for
The booking form asks for:
- your name, your phone number, and your email if you want to give us one
- the dates you would like to stay, and which room
- the date and time of your surgery, and where it is taking place
- whether you are booking for yourself or on behalf of a practice
- any extras you would like, such as transport
- anything you tell us in the last box: food allergies, dietary needs, mobility, or anything else you would like us to know
Only your name and your phone number are required. Everything else is there because it helps us look after you, and you can leave it out.
Why we ask for the time of your surgery
Because it is the one thing that tells us when you will actually arrive. It is how we work out who is collecting you and at what hour, so that two guests are never due at the same moment and nobody is waiting. It is also how we know when your room has to be ready.
We ask for it as a hotel asks for a flight time. Elysian Villa Retreat is a hospitality business, not a medical one. We do not provide surgical or medical treatment, we do not keep medical records, and nothing you tell us is passed to anyone treating you.
Who sees it
Elysian Villa Retreat, and only Elysian Villa Retreat. When you send the form it becomes an email to the house's own booking inbox, plus a backup copy kept in a private file on this website's server that cannot be reached from the internet.
There is no booking platform in between, no customer database, no mailing list and no marketing company. Nobody outside the house is sent your details, and they are never sold or traded.
If a stay goes ahead, your deposit is taken by Stripe, which handles the payment and holds your card details. We never see your card number.
How long we keep it
For as long as we need it to look after your stay and to keep our own business records. If you would like your details removed, call or text (770) 557-6976 or email info@elysianvillaretreat.com and we will take them out. You can also ask us what we hold, and we will tell you.
Cookies, and the three things your browser remembers
This site sets no cookies and carries no tracking pixel, no advertising tag and no third-party analytics of any kind. Nothing about your visit is sent to Google, to Facebook, or to anybody else.
Your own browser keeps three small things, on your device only:
- whether you asked the page to move less
- a copy of a booking request you have already sent, so the form can remember it if you come back
- a marker that keeps one visit from being tallied twice when you read more than one page
None of those is sent to us and none of them leaves your device. Clearing your browser data removes them.
One thing on this page does come from outside: the lettering is served by Google Fonts, so your browser asks Google for the font files, as it would on a great many websites. Google sees that request. Nothing you type into the booking form is any part of it.
Where the house is
We do not publish our address. It is given to you once your stay is confirmed, and the reason is the privacy of the guests already in the house.
